Make wise choices – Local Council Election

The upcoming Local Council Election will be country’s first ever multi-party Local Council election and yet one of the most competitive political rapture in the entire history of this lovely nation. The campaign has already boomed and some candidates are doing their campaigns heavily. It is believed that this Local Council Election will be very competitive and exhilarating.

In the modern day of politics, the most influential components of a campaign is how much he/she is willing to spend and the popularity among the people. Consequently, money is one of the most coherent factors of a campaign. In a civilized community, people choose based on policies and quality of the candidates and thereby the supporters will give donor and subsequently it is people’s money. But in our community, it is more like buying votes with peanuts taking advantage out of innocence of the ordinary people rather than winning with genuine support from the people.

What we decide today may impair our political recognition in the future. It has to be someone who is really committed to bring political and economic reform to our community; in fact he must be capable of doing it. It is not always necessary that the most influential figure is appropriate for the post.

I, therefore urge you to decide your choice based on vision, capability, and drive for economical, social and political development. Let there be no doubt that you made right choices by choosing someone who possess a good track record.

I am glad to announce that after a very busy period of six months, finally I am here to share my view and ideas on various economic, social and political issues in the Maldives. It is great pleasure for me to reinvent my desire to share with you all. Insha Allah, very soon I will post an article that portray why the government have precariousely decided to impose a salary cap by deducting some percentage from civil servents salary. Finally, verdict declared…. Umar Naseer a sore loser…

We have been fighting for justice since the day Umar Naseer closed down the party office in August 2009. Since then, we were denied the access to the party office, though we did our best to solve the situation peacefully and silently without any media hype. But Umar Naseer did all he can to demoralize us and abolish the party at any cost.

He then made a cosmetic council and decided to abolish the party and did what he thought was legitimate. We were wondering and so confident that we would win the case under any circumstances as he was doing everything against the code of conduct of IDP. We filed a case against cosmetic decision of Umar Naseer and co in the Election Commission with all necessary documents to prove that it was totally illegimate.

Finally, Election Commission declared its verdict and now its final and Umar Naseer has to go to the court if he wishes to challenge the decision of the Election Commission. We are sure that, Umar Naseer won’t challenge because, he has already lost the battle with us and he has nothing to do with IDP. Thus, he himself proven that he is a sore loser.

I have been in the political fore-front in the Maldives for last five years and most interestingly, I was following someone, whom I thought could be a real leader. Yes, the president of IDP, Mr. Umar Naseer, I would now call another dictator born.

Last few months have been really controversial as there was big media hype between MR. Umar Naseer and some of the council members. It was really confusing and IDP was inactive as a political party unlike once it was. The conflict began when Mr. Umar Naseer closed down the party office without the consent of the council and declared he is the president and therefore, it is up to him to decide when and where to open the office. This in particular is totally against the IDP’s regulation. Therefore, the claim is totally illegitimate.

He then publicly said the party will be abolished and did some of the most foolish mistakes ever a man can do. Thus, he wasn’t successful in any of the tactics he has so far used. Two weeks I was informed that, there is a presidential plea in the IDP office and those people who do not sign on the plea will be considered as unsupportive and thereby he will opt those two names for the council in order to fill the void left due to resignation of some of the council members due to various reasons. Again, it was totally against the regulation and a member can be temporarily elected into the council only with clear majority.

This week has sent a letter to Election Commission saying that, the party council unanimously decided to abolish the party. Now the question is, how could it be a legitimate decision where the half of the council members are totally against it and did not attended the council meeting? It was just a cosmetic decision and its one of his conspiracies he thinks would be effective to abolish the party.

I’ve made a call to one of the election officials and he was informed about the situation well and I am more than confident that, Mr. Umar Naseer will be a looser and a courageous coward. Legal actions are not very far from the consideration as I am now discussing with my lawyer about the issue.

Do we really need to be concerned about when there is nothing mentioned about our island in the budget 2010.

On 5th December 2009, My mobile phone made me woke up earlier than all the days a text message from a friend of mine. I was so eager to read the message as it came very early in the morning thought that it might be a good message. When I went through the message it really made me laugh because it was all about a message which has been passing phone to phone about 2010 budget. It took moment to think and understand what exactly trying to say in the message.

To me, with my limited knowledge, budget is something that should reflects things that can be done or possible within the financial year by not depending the loans but rather with the help of governement income. In this case, I am not at all surprised to see that there was nothing mentioned in the budget about our island.

In the past, budgets were prepared by mentioning many projects to be carried out in various isands with the mere hope of getting loans from financial organization and as a grant aid. Consequently these unsaid wirtten statement were considered as a promise. Often the case is that, at the end of the year, none but few project were materialized and while others were left with nothing. Further, the this practice was a cheap technique which have been using the old regime in order to gain the political advantages by manipulating the the right picture. For example, You go through the budgets of last 10 years from 2008, most definitely what you will see is simply written projects rather than materialized ones. Let's take the case of our island, For how many years has it been mentioned in the budget to be carried out the sewerage system with help of Kuwait Fund which originally started recently only. Let alone not this example, the case of reclamation project is one of the most evident example. So how many other islands were there simply neglected in a similar fashion by simply mentioning in the budget projects to be done.

I would not call these things anything other than false promises a cheap techinique to gain the political advantage from our people by making them day dream.

I would like call all thimarafushians that, never ever get carried away so easily, there is no harm even if nothing mentioned in the budget and mentioning something in the budget won't guerentee you anything. Consider the past examples, we brought this coalition led government not to repeat the same old mistakes that we were truely neglected. If not what is the difference between having an autocratic regime and a democratic one.

The annual net income of our country is around MRF 7 billion and out of that 5 billion are paid to to government employees and with the remaining 2 billion we had to manage all the other things including infrastructure projects. thus, what we can do is to increase our productivity rather than simply staying back at home and expecting governement will do everything. This is a free market economy and everything will depends on demand and supply. Take the example of Singapore and her condition in 1970's and now and have a vision in our mind and be faithful, Insha Allah, our faith will pay back the dividends we deserved.

My friend Mr. Assad called me some days ago and asked me to come to his office for some important reasons. When I get into his office, he asked me to write some letter to the some of the government authorities about various issues about thimarafushee. To be honest, I was very reluctant to involve any of such things as I was not treated well and fairly, specially during election time. If you ask me thousand times, I would say, I was right and I never did any sin. But as it was purely about thimarafushi, I couldn't ask much I wrote all three letters and given to him instantly.

Again last week he called me and said that the NGO's are reluctant to sign on the paper and they don't want to pressure the government at any cost. What a ridiculous attitude is this? but on the way, Mr. Musthafaa does not want lose a single second without giving pressure to the governemt about the commitments. As an example he took Guraidhoo and their people's bravery when it comes to development of their beloved island.

What i see from our island is opposit. So better you guys to stop your mouth and do something practical and show it to our people.

An important meeting .....

I was called for a meeting with Mr. Mohamed Musthafa, one of the MP's and elected from our constituent. When I get into his office along with some of the close friends from island, I was not sure what was schedule and what was decided to talk in the meeting. Anyway it was interesting and a fruitfull meeting although we had to wait more than an hour out in the lobby waiting for him to call up our turn.

When sat in the meeting room, immediately he started talking about the island and various development activities and what was the motive of the motive of that meeting. I took my turn and waste no time questioning him about various issues like the promised mega pack development project which was signed back in May 2009. He has shown me the agreement signed between the so called investor and in every sense it look like a fake agreement. Initially, it was declared that the so called investor is an Italian based consortium or whatever, but in the agreement it was clearly mentioned that it was a UK registered one.

In my next turn, I asked him something related to legitimacy of his candidacy due to ongoing cases in the lower courts and supreme court. He grossly ruled out all the cases by saying all the cases are all about a company and not himself and hence he is not liable for it.

My next question was about his popularity and I told him that his popularity is going down due to his own cause, as he made as customary practice to talk about Gayyoom in the parliament even if the issue is not at all related to Gayyoom and his old powerhouses. At the end, he agreed to minimize it.

Six members signed a letter...

The six members who stand against the idea of abolishing the party have signed a letter to file a case against Umar Naseer at Maldives Police Service and Election Commission. A meeting was held last night and out of six, five members were attended took the decision.

The members also decided to contact Mr. Hussain Zaheen, one of the council members before registering the case, as he made a request by saying to grant him some more days to make a decision whether or not he should make a public plea on this issue.

It has been weeks of speculation that there is conflicts between Islamic Democratic Party (IDP) council members and party’s President with regard to the future of the party. Since, the speculation began; there was a council meeting held with the purpose of getting approval from the council to abolish the party. After, a long discussion, the council decided to go for a vote and only three votes went for and six, as much as double went against.

However, the council unanimously agreed that the IDP, President can carry out the activities which he was involving in connection with the re-election of Thimarafushee Constituent.

Against the decision and will of majority of the council members, Mr. Umar Naseer has been continuously trying to grip with his decision and giving his views on different medias by saying he will take the issue into the next congress. We as council members, tried our best to convince that he is wrong and it won’t be ethical to go on with his decision to abolish the party, especially being as a President. But rather he can willingly go any political party he wishes after his resignation. However, one must know that, a party is not a single person and it is a collective entity, and he does not have any right to decide on his own.

What more interesting is that, the members who are supporting his decision are his staff members simultaneously IDP council members as well. So, one should not wonder why he is saying majority is not with the outcry of his resignation.

There are many reasons why some of the prominent figures of IDP council are resisting against the idea of abolishing the party.

1- IDP was established for the purpose of promoting certain democratic values in parallel to the Islam.

2- IDP has been playing a very effective role in making the government accountable.

3- IDP was not ready to contest last presidential election, and he Mr. Umar Naseer convinced to the council by saying, “If don’t contest this election, it would be a huge blow for the party and IDP should not be measured in line with other small parties, rather IDP is stronger than the rest and we council members must be responsible for such downfalls if not agreed.” For that reason, we the council members agreed. But one should not measure the strength of IDP by counting the number of votes what Mr. Umar Naseer acquired in last presidential election.

4- Unlike last presidential election, this parliamentary election does not show you anything other than a fight in between a democratically led government who was trying its best to succeed as much number of seats as they could, while a failed group of corrupted leaders who were trying their best to win most number of seat with the help their influence and huge sums of money. Therefore, comparing the effort and money put into the election, the results are not bad. Because, IDP spent just peanuts when compare to the rivals.

5- Independent members of the IDP council (who are not Mr. Umar Naseer’s Staffs) does not believe that the political arena in the Maldives is divided into two, and those members are confident that IDP does have even a bigger and better role to play in the current political grounds.

6- According to party regulation, party cannot be abolished without the will of 2/3 of total members registered and the decision could only be taken by an extra-ordinary congress that represents 2/3 of total party members. How on Earth, it could be done, without amending the party regulation and a call for a congress should be decided by the party council with clear majority.

Due to the reasons above, it is almost impossible to abolish IDP that easily even though Mr. Umar Naseer is determined to do it. I would say that again he is going to ended up with a great disappointment like in the past.

At last, as a fond lover IDP and a council member, I urged Mr. Umar Naseer to resign as soon as possible for the betterment of his political career and us as well. Military rules only follow dictators.....

Obstacles need to be addressed at IGMH.

My daughter was taken to the hospital on 12^th August 2009, morning around 9.00am with fever, light cough and unusual fluid seen in genitalia. We got an appointment from one of the Paediatricians and consult with her about my daughter’s sickness. Though, there was an interpreter, I explained everything and replied to all the questions asked by the doctor. The doctor asked some very basic questions like, how often nappy changes, and the cleaning procedure when she passed motion and how long it takes to clean her. On behalf of my wife, I replied to the doctor that we used to change the nappy whenever she urinate or find it the nappy is wet. At the end of the consultation, she prescribed some medicines and asked us to go for a urine test in order to make sure that it was due to urine infection. We were back to home around 10:30am and my wife stayed back home and I went back to office.

Around 1215 at noon, I got a call from my wife saying, that my daughter fell down from a chair and suffered head injury. I was rushed back to home and found that her right side of forehead is badly swelled. We really got scared and took her hospital immediately. It was around 1230 at noon and we straight went to accident and emergency and there we had to wait for some 10 to 15 minutes as emergency room was too crowded and doctors and nurses seems too busy attending other patients. After a short while, a nurse came and tested her fever and it was recorded 105 degrees Fahrenheit. And later in the morning it was recorded 103 degree Fahrenheit that we came to know from the prescription given by the doctor. Later a doctor came and checked the swelled area and advised us to go for an x-ray of her skull. While a nurse was treating with icepack and I went to make a slip for x-ray and take appointment from x-ray room.

After a while, my wife came with my daughter and swelled area was very much healed and we went inside to take her skull x-ray. Once the x-ray was done, I asked my wife to go out and stay until we get the x-ray report. At the same time, we were expecting urine report and I went to collect it from the laboratory. I was just able to reach the counter, I got a call from my wife saying “dhiye (we called her at home)” got fits and she is in Emergency room. When I went there, my daughter was attended by a group of doctors and later one of them told me that, they are not sure, whether it was due to fever or her head injury but medically she is now out of danger and she would respond after a while. I was really concerned and confused. Later I brought x-ray report and urine report and given to the doctor and took me away from my wife and told me that he suspects the skull but since she is below 2 years of age, a surgical doctor’s consideration is required. By then, I was too nervous and I informed my brothers and my wife’s family and explained what had happened?

Around 30 minutes from the time of the incident, a group of surgical doctors came and checked x-ray and told me that there was nothing to worry but since she fell down while playing at home, and at her age, they need to go for a CT scan to rule out any further complications and they are going to admit my daughter at Paediatric ward for another 10 or more days for further investigation. At around, 1530, we were asked to go to ADK hospital for CT scan. We reached ADK around 1615 and along with a nurse from IGMH. We went to CT scan room and my daughter was given an injection which makes her sleep for a while. But it didn’t work really well and my daughter didn’t sleep and we couldn’t take a CT scan although they tried several times. Later we were back to IGMH and next day again we went to take CT scan and it was very successful.

Throughout the period of our stay at IGMH, we were quiet happy the way and how they are treating and in fact they explained us things nicely in all the doctor’s visits. Nurses were very caring and kind enough and my daughter was recovered so rapidly.

Why I am not happy though things above gone so nicely?

As a responsible father, I always make sure my kids are in good health.

1- The first thing that I was not happy was that, at first day on 12^th August 2009, morning my daughter was having high fever and the doctor who attended her at paediatric department asked us to go back, knowing the children’s under the age of 5 years are likely to suffer seizure due to high fever. ( she could have at least explain us the scare, so that we could have given her extra care and attention)

2- The second thing is that, at the same day noon again I took my daughter IGMH emergency room as she was having swell on her forehead and they check her fever and it was recorded 105 degrees Fahrenheit still they didn’t do anything other than treating her swelled area.

3- During our stay at IGMH, my daughter has suffered loose motion and she had nappy rash and the area were somewhat reddish. We asked doctors to check and asked us to change nappy brand and change nappy regularly. We did that still as she had urine infection, we again asked doctors about it and later the doctor’s given a nappy rash cream and something to apply her genitalia. The funny part was that, when the day of discharge, they suspected for a possible sexual harassment and referred to Family Health Protection Unit (FHPU) at IGMH when there were no clear indications of such harassment as far as medical side is concerned. Because, when they first said my daughter is having a urine infection, I asked doctors to make sure about possible sexual harassment although there is even 0.0001% of possibility. They told me there was no such thing seen, so it’s simply due to urine infection and therefore nothing to worry. So at the last moment, without consulting us why should they referred to Family Health Protection Unit (FHPU)? Rather they could have asked from us.

4- On 10^th day morning, I was told that my daughter would be discharged today and at around 11’ o’clock my wife called me said they have given the bill and I went there around 1330hrs and settled the payments and was waiting for my daughters documents. In the evening around 1600hrs, when I made an inquiry they said things were done and waiting for a doctor to come. Later, I asked my wife to go back home and I was waiting at 1635hrs, again I made an inquiry they said expecting for slip to collect urine report from Laboratory. Again at 1715hrs, when I made inquiry they came and asked me whether I know English or not? I said, yes I know English. After sometimes, nurses came and explained to me medicine and I found that one medicine was missing. It was some medicine which requires whenever my daughter gets fever and it is mandatory to give her that medicine to avoid another seizure. Later, I asked them to make things ready, I will be back later. Why such a delay should happen? When there was nothing emergency there?

5- Complaining is still considered as a sin at IGMH. Don’t I deserve to complain when there is a genuine concern? If not why should I got there?

My dear friend let’s make our lives better despite our political differences

This post is purely in response to one of my classmate who has sent me a face book message about me. In that message, she made very sarcastic comments and remarks about my decision to support Mr. Gassaan in the re-election of Thimarafushee Constituent.

I am not very surprised to see your comments about me and the way you branded me. I've never done anything wrong so far which is beyond my control and never said and never did anything that I may have to feel sorry for ever. What I know is I have always been doing things what my heart and mind says with advices from certain people. Hard decisions are always difficult and political reality is always hard to swallow.

My dear friend, I took a hard decision not to support Mr. Musthafa but instead Mr. Gassaan. There is some reality why I made that hard decision knowing that most of my loving people would be against my decision. However, if it was you or somebody else, I would not mind to stay away or avoid mutual relationships if he or she is not willing to face me. In short, I've never done any crime that I may be punished.

To be honest, I really don't care about what people may say about it but rather I will always try to maintain my relationship with others at my best. I am not an opportunist like many of our friends. Therefore, the current political arena may prevent me from some narrow minded people who are nothing more than bunch of craps. So I will always willingly chase them out of my way. This is bit offensive, but I have to keep going with this approach due to much of political than my personnel reasons.

What I said about Mr. Musthafa is absolutely fine and there will never be a time where he and I may come to a common ground in the current political arena. But I bet still myself and Musthafa can speak each other regardless of our political difference and it happened often even when the time of Election Day and during campaign as well.

My dear friend, I will never be hesitant to face people in whatever circumstances. Yes, I may have to go back and live there and of course I am hopeful of doing it one day. My dear friend, Lets not make assumptions, but rather make wise choices, I made my choice and you made your choice. But I don't think it may prevent me from living Thimarafushi ever. I am not a coward.

My dear friend, I know and I deeply respect the feelings of our people and most of their common interest of bringing some who belongs to Thimarafushi to the parliament. In one way it’s good. But did you know what I have gone through during much heated campaign? Did you know that even Mr. Musthafa he himself warned me? Did you know how many times I was assaulted? Did you know how many times I was challenged physically? It was not during the last round but it all happened during the first round of campaign and I was most truly campaigned for my brother. To be honest, Mr. Musthafa was my second choice.

My dear friend, I tolerated all sorts of harassment from Mr. Musthafa's supporters and unfortunately there some of my very close people. And later I was back to male' and DRP took the case to the high court and unfortunately my then sister-in-law Ms. Usha gave her eyewitness accounts to the high court. It was not a decision by me and in fact it all happened out of my knowledge and by that time I was in Gaaf Dhaal atoll with my family. On 21st May 2009, our home (ummeedh) was targeted with an arson attack.

Now would you say all it was fair? What I did was purely legitimate and nobody can ever rule out it. If it was a mistake, what the hell are we following something called Constitution?

My dear friend, I know this is little bit longer than you expected but let me tell you, I am courageous enough to face the challenges ahead of me and Insha Allah I will conquer it in most victorious manner. My critics may say anything and I've always listen it and I will continue to do it. It helps me a lot to grow as a person.

At last but not least, I think you know well what kind of boy I was when we were studying at school. I was calm and quiet but my dear friend let there be no doubt that my calmness had lost me anything. Instead today I feel very confident and comfortable with my past days despite all the harassment from our age boys. I've never struggled in my life to find life anywhere in my life. I came through it and I think today I am much capable of facing this relatively small challenge.

My dear friend, though we don't see each other often, I respect all my classmates, colleagues, friends and relatives in my heart. Let’s learn how to live with political differences and challenges. We will always be friends and known people whatever we think in our way ahead.

At last but not least, my dear friend, your sarcastic comments about me will never make me feel worry and down rather I will see it as an opinion about me from someone else. That’s it.

My dear friend, before talking someone who is politics, please be aware that he or she will do things according to political trends and the way he or she feels right. That cannot be taken into account by someone else.

Please read our Constitution well and try to understand at least for the sake of your own safety and to learn the basic constitutional rights.

Please don't be among the bunch of craps. I respect you well and I am sure you can understand much better than the rest.

DRP lost due to its own negligence -

Over the period of 30 years, Guraidhoo has always been given far more Importance than the highest population in between Male’ the capital and Huvadhoo Atoll. As president Nasheed said, the people Thimarafishui were not given even half of what they deserved in contrast to similar size of population throughout the country.

Imagine how life would be a population of more than 2700 men, women and children’s who have been living in a size of 22 hectors of land with absolute despair and negligence. The frustrations among the people are understandable and yet they deserve a better life. Today, the country is progressing towards a multiparty democracy; the people are clever enough that government blessings are far more imperative than anything in order to accomplish a progressive development in all aspect.

Like the past regimes, this government has also promised several infrastructure development projects to be implemented within the period of five years. One good example could be the airport project which has brought forward as a package inclusive of several other benefits. It was announced that, the airport project shall commence on or before 7^th July 2008 which is within a period of two months from time of announcement. Most notably, the ceremony was held in thimarafushi just a day before last parliamentary election.

It was really emotional as I thought the long awaited unfulfilled promises will finally be over and it will happen as they promised in the ceremony. It was almost like, the funding, planning and all necessary things were done and things have to begin. Wow. What a feeling was it? I had no grumble, although the government has used it as a tool to influence over the people in order to seek the support for MDP candidate. Yes, it was an electoral fraud but I decided not complain about it. Because it was something that we people of thimarafushi are desperately looking for.

Now the hard fought battle is over and finally MDP candidate has won the election and I am now waiting to see the much of words than a practical action. The undisputed bond with the government, I hope things will materialize soon. But where are the details of the promised package? Who is coming? When are they going to start it? These are few questions to be asked?

A break from political affairs

I have been thinking to take a break from politics since last November to go for higher studies. Since then, I have not been in politics except much thrilling campaign of last parliamentary election. It was really a tremendous experience to me and I was really amazed with it. At the end of the day, all went against the way I was expecting to happen. No offence, that’s the rule of the democracy.

I have no hesitation about any of my decisions I took during the campaign and even the re-election in our constituent. I don’t really bother about what critics may say about my decisions and what matters to me is the reality according to my belief.

Now the election is over and I will not be seen actively involving in politics at least for another two and half years time as my studies will commence this July. I will always keep in touch with you through my blog and I can assure you that I will write and post my way of thinking about different political issues.

I hope life will be much better and prosperous for our people and let's all be unified despite our political differences in connection with the parliamentary elections. What is gone is gone and the beauty of a democracy is either to win or lose. So we lost this time but it’s nothing more than a matter of few days and the rest are ahead.

I was not against the will of our people and my bonds on them. What I did was a challenge which I desperately needed to test, as I was intimidated some of my very close people. As I am in politics, I must try my worth as much as I could. Opinions are different people to people and party to party. I know my obligations and many would think what I did was wrong.

But let's not always forget about once own life and his own reservations, grudges on a person or an issue etc. I had my own reservations and I am telling you guys, I was determined to it much of political than a personnel affair. Now the election is over and let’s not again unfolds our past reservations. Everybody including me must respect and accept the remarkable victory conquered by Mr. Musthaf. That is why I sent my sincere gratitude to both Mr. Musthafa and Mujuthaba.

May be in the future, I may prefer another stand and it may be against you and others. Let’s learn to respect and digest. It’s our collective responsibility. That is why we need to build a better democracy.

I am determined to work with you again like never before on social issues and this is the message i have for my people. I know they are in agony and despair. But at the same time, I suffered in similar manner. But I have forgotten and forgiven to all from my side.

Peace is the only way where we could achieve a harmonious society now and forever.

I stand against: Not Personnel But Collective Obligations

In every sense, I made my decision not to support Mr. Musthafa due to many reasons. To be frank, when the beginning of the campaign, he was my second choice next to my brother Mr. Mohamed Hassan Manik. But today, he has become my last choice even to consider. Why?

Integrity and aptitude are one of the most significant factors to be considered while choosing a candidate for the parliament. In my opinion, Mr. Mustha is ranked in lowest among the four candidates who are contesting for thimarafushee constituent.

Mr. Musthafa is a well-known guy throughout the country due to his dirty business tricks and some of the apparent criminal offences. I was surprised to see that, Mr. Musthafa himself given a confession to Haveeru Daily in response to accused defaulted loan facilities from Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) by saying he does not owe any money to anywhere but there were some debts which owed to some of the individuals. But that has also been cleared.

His campaign was designed and planned a realistic strategy than an ideology which could be easily propagated and convinced. One is to elect someone who belongs to thimarafushee and eventually the long awaited unfulfilled promises could be colored with the undisputed influence over the government. But the reality is that, there is no difference between Mr. Musthafaa and Mr. Gassaan as they both are registered in male’ and they are not residents of Thimarafushi.

However, it looks really odd when he is talking about 30 years of Gayyoom regime as he was not visited thimarafushi even a single time except during second round of the presidential election last year. In fact, it was first time I have ever seen him in my life.

I never thought that this guy is such an intolerant and stupid. His stupidity and intolerance are major reasons why he is facing re-election and his violent behavior will cost him this election.

I hope he will not be conquered this re-election by God willing.

Elections Commission holds a meeting with Candidates and Stake Holders.

I got a text message from one of the officials from elections commission by saying there will be a meeting with all candidates and stake holders at 1500hrs today 1^st July 2009 in the Elections Commission office. By then I was thinking about what I should say, whether or not should I repeatedly condemn what had happened recently and pre-election conflicts.

When I get there around 1510hrs with the President of Islamic Democratic Party as my brother is currently out of city. Unlike the previous meeting, it was not very much heated as Mr. Musthafa had gone through all possible legal proceedings. Fortunately, the Supreme Court has ruled out any further retrial against the high court verdict.

Like previous meetings, Mr. Musthafa tried all in his capacity to convince his points and at one point it seemed like he was trying to challenge the role, inclusiveness and aptitude of the Human Rights Commission by law. I felt really sorry for him as he is not aware of it. The Vice President of the Human Rights Commission Mr. Zahid blatantly replied and explained the role of the commission and what is written in the Human Rights Act.

It was Gassaan’s lawyer who repeatedly condemns the irresponsiveness of the Police in connection with 26th June 2009 incident. Further, Mr. Umar Naseer the President of Islamic Democratic Party has strongly criticize the failure to bring before justice those who involved in criminal offences in the Thimarafushi pre and post election, such as the arson attack on my house and a boat belongs to one of the MDP member and some cases of public order violation.

In response, the officials from the official said that they are still investigating all those things and for sure they will bring those who involved before justice. This statement similar like what they have been telling us since the election process began.

The Election Commission distributed the list of election officials and all necessary proceedings required for the upcoming re-election. It was all explained and hopes things would go well enough. After all let’s see what happens next?

Post Election Conflicts at Thimarafushi - An Ideology and carefully choreographed roll-play

The topic of thimarafushee has been one of the most debatable and well-known throughout the country in connection with first ever multi-party parliamentary election. It is not secret that thimarafushi does have a history of post and pre election conflicts. One of the most prominent incidents in our time was 1999 pre-election conflicts and its consequences. By then, I was just an 18 years old boy and I still remember how it was dealt with. Probably it may be the reason why I had to think about political, social and economic reform in this lovely nation. In fact, I was victimized almost all the election held since 1999 parliamentary election for some reasons.

Today, we are having a presidential form of government where, executive, judicial and legislator as separate institutions. Let’s not forget that what had happened in the past cannot be excused simply by saying all it was something with our legislative practice. But rather, it all happened due to a brutal and autocratic regime, where very basic constitutional rights were denied by an iron fist.

Let’s not forget that, 30 years is more than enough to reform a nation like this with wealth accumulated thousands of millions of dollars annually. But what was the outcome after a 30 long years? It is evident that, all the major setbacks what we are suffering today is directly inherited from the previous regime and it takes years to overcome all such setbacks. This is why the majority of the nation decided a change and in fact the change that should prosper life of every single Maldivian. So why then we are so hesitant today?

As I have mentioned above, I was victimized almost all the election held since 1999 parliamentary election. I was really stunned to see that Mr. Musthafa’s campaign was designed to propagate and terrorize the opposition not knowing that they are violating many of the articles which guaranteed basic rights by the constitution. For an instance; under the articles 16 to 20 and 26, 27, guarantees every basic rights such as freedom of expression and freedom of choosing who they support or practicing voting rights independently. However, any form of discrimination can be considered as a criminal offence and it must be prosecuted.

What had happened to Mr. Ghassaan maumoon’s campaign team should not be tolerated at all as per our constitution. Critics may argue that I am a pro DRP and whatever I say today is biased. The fact is that I am neither a supporter of DRP nor a member of that party. But the reality is that, even with the political reforms we brought vehemently, some are still in difficulty to understand and tolerate equal rights. Whichever the government is whoever the president is? I stand for prospering democratic values and equal rights for all despite who they are, color of skin, where they belongs to and of course regardless of their faith.

Who is responsible?

The problem of thimarafushee is evident that they have been continuously and purposefully denied many basic needs and long awaited promises by the past regime. Once I was the stronghold for criticizing such denial of basic rights and long awaited promises. I made countless effort to make the government responsible by then. Unfortunately, the anger among the people you see today is motivated, designed and instructed in order to accomplish a purposeful political gain by this government.

The campaign of the MDP candidate Mr. Musthafa started almost six months ago. Basically promoting the idea of electing someone who belongs to thimarafushi and someone who has the prospective political influence where long awaited dreams of every thimarafuishians could be colored. This ideology has really worked and the momentum of the campaign rose. The financial capability of Mr. Musthafa has helped him to keep the momentum for such a long run.

I was fortunate to be there in the middle of all heats during the campaign. To be honest, I was too surprised to see that the MDP candidate built the campaign momentum and at the same time they were not allowing other candidates to carry out campaign activities. Although I and my brother are purely from thimarafushi, we couldn’t even address our policies to the people. Few housing visits were conducted on random basis due to difficulty from the MDP supporters and they were so reluctant to allow us to see the people.

Another major factor was that, we were totally abused verbally and warned, and even tried to chase us physically. Abusive language and songs were often and the respective authorities were not at all bothered. With all my sense, I repeatedly urge Maldives Police Service to increase their presence in order to make the atmosphere more secured. It all seemed like a choreographed roll-play directed by the government and consequently the opposition candidates were totally victimized and many of the electoral rights were denied.

Let’s have a look on the government influence over the election. A day the before the election, a group of high ranking officials including the vice president arrived to thimarafushi and signed a memorandum of understanding which enables to develop thimarafushi airport, sewerage system, reclamation, and city hotel etc. When the time of ceremony was held, the MDP candidate Mr. Musthafa sat aside of the officials. What’s more there to influence on the election?

When the day of election, it was all like a show hosted by the MDP and the supporters of Mr. Musthafa were not hesitant to violate the electoral regulations. I was victimized thrice during the Election Day within the permitted area of 100 x 100 feet. He Mr. Musthafa himself approached me and warned me so brutal manner. Unfortunately, a drug addict was along with him. I was surprised to see that one of the most prominent supporters of Mr. Musthafa has warned and abused a police officer by saying, “I am telling you, this is the order beyond you? So you shall have to obey this, if not you will be thrown from your post” What a mess is this? If it was an action of courage, I wonder what the hell there were there for?

All my sense has confided me that, Mr. Musthafa must be responsible for whatever going on there and he must face the criminal offences he supported and encouraged and persuaded.

At last, I feel sorry for my people and I urged them to stop involving such undemocratic, indecent criminal offences as I know that they are all innocent and I truly love them. I stand against those who are trying to portray this election as free and fair. In fact, it’s a shame for democracy.

Finally, I was interviewed before a committee of parliament members for the vacant election commission member today in the afternoon. As expected, it was really serious and difficult interview ever I have experienced. The committee consists of Mr. Moosa Manik (Reeko) for L. Atoll member, Mr. Ahmed Abdulla for H.Dh Atoll member, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Didi (Modi) for GN. Atoll member, Mr. Mohamed Aslam for Seenu Atoll member, the chair of the committee Mr. Moosa Manik (Reeko) gave a brief description about the interview and asked a single question. Basically, I was asked much about how confident and capable if I will be given the post?

The first turn went to Mr. Ahmed Abdulla and I was asked how much knowledge I have about the post and my experience in the field. In between the chair Mr. Moosa Manik asked about my educational and work experience in the past. Later, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim asked, “Do you really agree that, the election commission can hold an election without necessary bills to be approved from the parliament?” My answer was yes and there must be some other way where if the parliament couldn’t finish up the necessary bills on time.

Few other questions were asked from the members and the interview concluded the chair by congratulating me and wishing me the best of luck. Further, he noted that their role is to provide a report about the nominees from the parties and thereby it is up to parliament members to decide. Therefore, in any case, if I were not selected, please don’t keep any hard feelings on them. In return, I expressed my gratitude to them and the interview concluded.

The upcoming parliamentary election will be country’s first ever multi-party parliamentary election and yet one of the most competitive political rapture in the history of this lovely nation. The campaign has already begun and some candidates are campaigning in the respective constituents his/her is going to contest for. It is believed that this parliamentary election will be one of the most expensive yet competitive campaigns in the political history, although the economy is slumping.

In the modern day of politics, the most influential components of a campaign is how much he/she is willing to spend and the popularity among the people. Consequently, money is one of the most coherent factors of a campaign. In a civilized community, people choose based on policies and quality of the candidates and thereby the supporters will give donor and subsequently it is people’s money. But in our community, it is more like buying the votes with money rather than winning with genuine support from the people. In such cases it can be considered that he bought it and in the end he/she won’t be accountable to the people.

What we decide today may impair our political recognition in the future. It has to be someone who is really committed to bring political and economic reform within the parliament; in fact he/she must be capable of doing it. It is not always necessary that the wealthiest choice is appropriate for the post.

Parliamentary Elections – Opposition versus Government

Why should we give our votes to the opposition?

Since the reform agenda began back in 2004, it has always been very interesting to watch parliament sessions due to much of political than the moments of attacks on both side. As a consequence of this effect, it took more than two and half years to complete the necessary amendments to the constitution. At the end, it all became as a new constitution and ratified on 7^th August 2008 by the former President Mr. Gayyoom.

Before the amended constitution came into effect, the parliament consists of all cabinet ministers, special eight appointees by the president and members elected from the each constituent. The infamous 29 members were the most debateable issue in the parliament as it was hard to find a way to get ahead of anything that was against the interest of the government. In fact, almost all the chapters in the amended constitution are exactly as the way intended by the government then.

It was one real instance where if the parliament is under direct control of the government. One may argue that, this is a presidential system and thereby the government has nothing to do with the parliament as in presidential system, the parliament, Judicial and Executive branch are independent. Although this is a Presidential System, the system itself runs much of like a semi parliamentary system. The executive branch mostly requires the blessing from the parliament for almost all the major things. For this motive, the government will always try its best to control the parliament.

For a healthy democracy, a strong opposition is essential to make the government accountable for the people. This could be effectively done only within the parliament as it is one of the independent branches to watch over the government. In a multi-party democracy, the government is likely to face the criticism from the parliament members for various issues, like political, economical and social welfare. Hence, those criticisms play a vital role in implementing the appropriate policies on each sector.

Let’s not all do the same mistake again by giving the majority of the parliament to the ruling party.

My name has been nominated for the vacant Election Commission member from the Islamic Democratic Party (IDP)

Last week, I was told that my name has been nominated for the vacant election member from the Islamic Democratic Party (IDP). As an executive committee member, I have been working for the party since the party was formed in 2004, December. Therefore, I am not very surprised to see my name as potential nominee from the party.

The Election Commission is an independent body consist of five members approved from the parliament among the nominees from all the registered political parties. At present, the election commission members are Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim / President, Mr. Ahmed Shahid / Vice president, Mr. Mohamed Mahir, Mr. Fuad Thaufeeq, and Mr. Ali Faiz, who has resigned from the commission lately.

Whether I am elected or not will be known within next few days, when the parliament resume again this week 19th January 2009, Monday. I hope this could be a good experience to enhance my political career in the future.

Parliamentary Election – A stiff competition & a big political euphoria

The biggest political euphoria around the country for next several days to come would be the upcoming parliamentary election to be held in February 2009. Unlike the parliamentary elections in the past, it was decided that number of members allocated for each administrative sectors are based on the size of the population limiting a minimum of two from each sector. Therefore, all the constituents in each administrative sector will be a stiff competition as this is the first and ever multiparty election. According to the tentative constituent’s allocation table published by the election commission, there will be more than 72 seats in the upcoming parliament.

There are many reasons why this election is going to be stiff competition. Even if we are a presidential system where powers are separated and independent, the executive branch of the government has to rely on parliament when deciding all major things. Therefore, the executive branch can’t do anything against the will of the parliament. For this reason alone, both ruling party and opposition has to win the maximum number of seat from the Parliament. Recently, the President of Republic of Maldives, H.E Mr. Mohamed Nasheed has promised that his Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) will win minimum of 50 seats in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Given the political situation in the Maldives, It is unlikely to gain the majority of the parliament as it will be really stiff competition. It is very wrong to assume that his/her parties will win this much number of seats and give a public pledge without considering the political situation. HE President Nasheed must know that he became as a president with the help of a united alliance consists of all major political parties except Islamic Democratic Party (IDP). As a consequence of this pledge, the special advisor to the president, Dr. Hassan Saeed has made a very realistic comment about the issue; by giving the majority of the parliament to the ruling party won’t help us to make the government responsible. Further, this government is centered to activists rather than giving high ranking posts to highly qualified and capable professionals.

Parties that are in MDP lead coalition and the opposition are trying to increase their share in the parliament to be seated 1^st March 2009. Of course the strength of a party can be measured only with a free and fair election and if not achieve certain number of chairs from the parliament, it would be a huge political blow for such parties. For this reason alone, all the parties are determined to win the maximum number of seats.

The money part:

No election ever in the Maldivian political history has gone without involving big money deals. It is true that with poverty, democracy can’t work. Hence, this election will be no exception. It was reported that some individual has already spent almost over a millions to some communities as aid, soft loans to medium & small businessmen and for medical purposes as well. It is similar like modern day of slavery buying voting rights in the name of humanity. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. One must not forget that, accepting a bribe will benefit temporarily and the consequences will be immense in the future.

Therefore, I urge all my beloved people to use your voting rights to decide your future but not to decide who gave you the biggest the money deals.

Global Impact of the Credit Crunch

While America seems to be taking the brunt force of a weakening economy, a drastic credit crunch, and a faulting house market, the nation is certainly not alone in feeling the effects. Economies worldwide are reporting losses caused by the drop in the United States dollar. While consumers and lenders are well aware of their own financial difficulties as credit rates rise and with foreclosures becoming an all too common event, the fact is that the United States is having a significant impact upon other economies the world over.

The International Monetary Fund has recently released number estimating the world wide effect of the credit crunch. The numbers show a $945 billion dollar loss on a global scale over the next two years. While this number is just an estimated amount over a projected period of time, it is still surprising and even alarming to most in the financial sectors. While global economies and several institutions based in the United Sates are proving too resilient, the International Monetary Fund predicts that the worst is not over just yet and that consumers and investors should prepare for a continual weakening of the economy.

Along with the initial number, the International Monetary Fund estimated that the housing market alone can see losses as high as $565 billion; this is taking in the increasing foreclosures and the estimated increase in sub prime adjustable interest in the coming year.

The International Monetary Fund expects to see additional losses in other areas of the financial scope which do not necessarily have something to do with the housing market. Loans that are tied in with credit cards can be expected to see additional losses along with commercial real estate.

The cause for the global impact of the weakening U.S economy seems to be due, in part to weaknesses that were pre-existing.

“It is now clear that the current turmoil is more than simply a liquidity event, reflecting deep seated balance sheet fragilities and weak capital bases..” stated the International Monetary Fund

Island Counsellor – Better be bygone be bygone.

This is another vital topic which I have been approached by many people to see my views and say about it. Most interestingly, some has urged me to accept the job. As I am always a strong believer and a supporter of political and economic reform, I had to refuse the offer due to many obstacles, I feel cannot be overcome within the system in place at the moment. Here are few reasons why I am so hesitant to accept the offer.

The job involves a greater part of island politics and as the community is particularly divided into various factions due to corruption, mismanagement, nepotism and some portion of cronyism. One must not forget that, past rulers have made terrible mistakes in order to strengthen their influence over the people. The consequences of those mistakes are bound to today’s generation who are willing to accept the post.

I am strong believer of decentralization and its benefits at fullest. In fact, I believe one and only way where we could achieve our goals in the future. At the moment the post is similar like “the old katheeb” who is also responsible for the person who has given him the post and a name will not help us to make any difference.

Currently, the decentralization process is going on without any legal platform as it cannot be done without a necessary law packages and regulations which I believe something against the constitution. This is totally ridiculous.

I will always prefer a personnel nominee than a public nominee as I believe I can only do the job according to my will. In this case, I have to be responsible for the people not for someone else.

Last but not least, one of the vital reasons is, I am politically belongs to a party that has no share which unity government in place. If I ever accept any such political post from this government is something not good for the sake of my political endeavours.

I still believe that I need to learn more about the politics and gain experience over the period of next 10 or 15 years to come. Consequently, I need time to make ready my mind to face pressure and do the job wisely with the experience.

Who would be the better choice for the parliament from our constituent?

I have been consulted many people from our constituent about who would be the better choice for the parliament this time around. I feel this is extremely fine question to ask ourselves and even exchange in our society. Hence, here are some of the factors that I feel you may consider before deciding your choice.

It is evident that the politics does involve money and it has big tendency towards money. In the light of current of situation in the Maldives, I would say it is hard to find a parliament seat without a big sum of money. Public support and educational qualification alone will never be succeeded it but the truth is this is what it counts. So here are some of the factors you may consider before deciding your choice. Please note that your decision really counts reforming the nation both politically and economically.

· Political involvement and political attitude since the reform process began.
· Public services and social involvement and share in the society.
· Educational Qualifications & Personnel Background and track record in the recent years.
· Capabilities, faithfulness, trustworthiness are integral part.
· Policy papers and his/her manifesto and his vision on our society.

The above mentioned are few things you may think about when deciding your choice of candidate who are going to represent you and the others in the parliament. We must also make sure that the person is not working for the personnel gain and the income he could generate being a parliament member. In the same way, we should not consider a person who has bad track records in the past. That is the only way how we could analyse one’s own attitude.

It is a big shame for you and for us to sell your vote in the name of reform and democracy. Democracy means respecting equal values and rights among all. For that reason, please make sure that, you vote the person who has highest quality but not the person who has big money deals.

The following is my version of response in connection with a comment made by a friend and a relative in connection with a previously posted comment by me on, “Why Amjad is suitable for Thaa Atoll Candidate”. I thought I must repost it here for you.

Sound extremely convincing counter attack on my comments. Yes the lad is well educated and well spoken in both English and Dhivehi but not a good orator I would say. And you must know that, this election is technically very different from what we had in the past. This time it’s all about constituents rather than administrative sectors. So Amjad may be contesting for our constituent, (Thimarafushi, Guraidhoo and Gaadhifushi ) which I believe most competitive in our administrative sector.

Mr. Gentleman there is no guy who is illiterate among potential candidates who have wished to contest for our constituent. If any of them are illiterate, it means he/she is not up to the certain criteria set by our constitution. So you can't simply say, "We don't want illiterate people for parliament". If someone who has basic knowledge is fit enough for the parliament according to our constitution. In fact it is a constitutional right for each and every single person in the Maldives.

Mr. Gentleman, the world has today changed a lot. Dependency has been constantly decreasing due to social, economic and cultural boom. Better not to attack others so sarcastically. I know you very well. You are an educated guy who is in good position in our society and in fact you are influential over a portion of people due to some reasons. But it won't guarantee you anything.

Last but not least, a good qualification alone won't make you a good politician. I am telling you this very honestly. Politics involves real mind games and certain things that are out of our mindset. Being a parliament member, you cannot be away from those things. I am great admirer for people who has qualifications in certain areas like education, should work in the area where he/she is mastered. We as a country still need to improve a lot more things in our educational system.

Mr. Gentleman, I know this involves a greater portion of island politics and hence it’s quiet natural that human beings are self motivated and hunger for more and more power whatever end in life. But equally we must also know that, social harmony plays a pivotal role in developing a society.

A society like us, both politically and administratively corrupted needs a real leader who is willing to forget and forgive the past setbacks. Yes, there was total cronyism and nepotism. But it was past. We cannot rekindle our past anymore and we must try to work for our future.

I hope the upcoming election will not divide us anymore even though we are politically divided into different factions. Let us all be wise enough to make this real chance to make ours despite our obligations.

Wisdom is a gift of heaven

I personnely urge the governement of Maldives to declare its plea against the agression of Israel over the people of Ghaza and Palastine. As we all are muslims, it is very hard to see and hear the casualities going on in the Ghaza Strip. It was reported that, more than 650 were dead, 3000 were injured and infact most are civilians.

It is evident that Israel has a record of disobeying UN resolutions. United Sates of America and Britain are two significant allies who are continuoesly helping them to violate the UN's resolutions on various aspects. I am very sad to see that the arab world has failed to unite against the western world in respect to free and independent Palastine and some other critical issues that are considered as a challenge to Muslim world.

Muslim population has 21% share in world population and yet muslim contries are unable to do anything other than saying "it is a act of aggression". Till date no muslim nation has ever done anything to pressure or stop israel and its agression over Palastine. In return, certain groups from Palastine and Lebanon are offensive against israeli aggression. Hamas has been most phenominal and its charter says, "eradicate israel from the globe".

ޕޮލިޓިކްސްއަކީ އެމީހަކު ދިރިއުޅޭ ވެއްޓެއްގައި ނުވަތަ މުޖުތަމަޢުގައި ސަރުކާރުހިނގާގޮތާއި މެދު ފިކުރުހިންގާ އެކަންތައްތައް އަމިއްލައަށް ދެނެގަތުމެވެ. މީހުންގެ މެދުގައި މުއާމަލާތުކުރެވޭގޮތާއި، ވިސްނުމާއި އަދި އެކަމަކާއި ގުޅޭ އިދާރާއަކުން ފޯރުކޮށްދޭ އަދި އަމާޒުކުރާ ކަންތައްތައްކުގެ ހަމަތައް ދެނެގަތުމާއި، އެޚިދުމަތަކާއި ގުޅިގެން ފޯރުކޮށްދޭ ކަންތައްތަކާއި ވަސީލަތްތައް ބެހިފައި ނުވަތަ ބަހާލެވިފައިވަނީ ކިހިނަކުންކުންތޯ ބެލުމެވެ. މިސާލަކަށް އެހިދުމަތް ނުވަތަ ކަންތައްތައް ލިބުނީ ކޮންބަޔަކަށްތޯއާއި، ފޯރުކޮށްދެވުނީ ކޮންއިރަކު، ކިހިނަކުން، ކޮންއުސޫލަކުން، ކީއްވެކަމާއި އަދި އޭގެ ހަޤީޤަތަކީ ކޮބައިކަމާއި، ހަމަހަމަކަމާއި، ޒިންމާދާރުކަމާއި، ޖަވާބުދާރީވުމާއި، އޭގެ ނުރަނގަޅު އަސަރުތަކާއި، އެއަށް ޤާނޫނީ ބާރުލިބިފައިވަނީ ކިހާވަރަކަށްކަމާއި އެކަން ނިންމާފައިވާ ގޮތާއިމެދު ވިސްނުމެވެ.

ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ ނުވަތަ ސަރަހައްދީ ޤައުމުތައް ނުވަތަ ޖަމާއަތްތައް އެތަނެއްގެ ނުވަތަ ޤައުމެއްގެ ސިޔާސީކަންތައްތައްތަކުގެ ތެރެއަށް ވަނުން ބިނާވެފައި އޮންނާނީ އެޤައުމެއްގައި އެއިރަކު ސިޔާސީ ގޮތުން އޮތްހާލަތެއްގެ މައްޗަށެވެ. މިގޮތުން ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ ގުޅުންތަކާއި ދުރު އަދި އެތަނެއްގައި ދާހިލީ ހަމަނުޖެހުން އޮންނަ ތަންތަނާއި މެދު އަބަދުވެސް ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ ގޮތުން އެފަދަ ޤަޢުމުތަކަށް ބާރުފޯރުވޭފަދަ ޤައުމުތަކާއި ޖަމާއަތްތައް ކަންބޮޑުވުންފާޅުކުރާނެއެވެ. ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ ޤައުތަކާއި ޖަމާއަތްތަކުން އަބަދުވެސް މަސައްކަތްކުރާނީ ޒިންމާދާރުގޮތެއްގައި ޤައުމުތަކުގެ މެދުގައި ގުޅުންބަދަހިކުރުމުގެ މައްޗަށެވެ. އަދި ޤައުމުތަކުގެ ސަރުކާރުތައް ހިނގާގޮތާއި ކަމާއިބެހޭ ހިޔާލާއި މަޝްވަރާދިނުމާއި، ފަންނީއެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމުގެ މައްޗަށެވެ.

ޒިންމާދާރު ސިޔާސީ ނިޒާމެއްކަމުގައި ބެލެވޭނީ އެނިޒާމެއްގެ ދަށުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ޖަވާބުދާރީވެވޭ މިންވަރެއްގެ މައްޗަށާއި، އެނިޒާމެއްގެ ދަށުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ގެނެސްދެވޭ ހަމަހަމަކަމަކާއި، އަދި އެކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން އާންމު ފަރުދުންގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ހާލަތު ހުރިގޮތެއްގެ މައްޗަށެވެ. އަދި އެނިޒާމެއްގެ ދަށުން ފޯރުކޮށްދެވޭ ކަންތައްތަކާއި ވަސީލަތްތައް ބަހާލެވޭ ގޮތެއްގެ މައްޗަށެވެ. މިތިއަރިއަކީ ސިޔާސީ ހޯދުންތަކާއި ތަރީހީގޮތުންނާއި ގަޢުމެއް ސިޔާސީގޮތުން ހިންގުމަށް އެންމެ އެކަށޭނެ ސިޔާސަތު ނުވަތަ ނިޒާމެވެ.
